The jade is a unique stone that is found in the nature and its beauty doesn’t fall back only in its appearance but also in its history.

In ancient times the Mayas valued it more that the gold itself, because the jade was used by people from high hierarchy.

It was used in burial masks, bracelets and teeth.

The jade as such is divided in two great branches, nefrita and jadeita. The nefrita is commonly found in China, this type of jade is of less hardness and less value of the jadeita. The jadeite is mainly found here in Guatemala, with a superior hardness, more dense colors and best quality. The jadeite is found in Sierra de Las Minas (Las Minas Mountain Range) and in the outskirts of the Motagua River.
