The manufacturing of pieces of jewelry has gone changing by the pass of the years, until to reach innovator techniques. In Pablo´s Silver Shop we give you a special place to the artisan way to create jewelry, trusting in the work and the labor hand of Guatemalan artisans and craftsmen. We firmly believe that the pieces made by hand, give them that artistic touch to every piece which gives as a result unique and unrepeatable pieces.

The process to work the silver is a complex procedure but in sum up it is based in four phases: Foundry, plating, workmanship and polished. In the moment to found the silver is necessary to clean it and eliminate all the dirtiness, is in this moment when it is toned down and reduced in copper to 5% per 1,000 of silver which produces silver 925 that we called Legal Silver. This founded silver to direct fire becomes liquid and it is emptied to a mold in bar form giving in this way a solid bar ready to the plating process.

In the plating process the silver is made thin to the desire thickness of the pieces which are going to be worked. This solid silver can be turned in plate or in wire depending on the jewel that we performed.

Then the jewel is designed and it is drawn in silver, it receives the desired form through saws and the jade stone is added in the case of jade jewels. If it is only silver we try to find the most agreed effect to the piece whether hammered, smooth or inlayed.
